- 2–3 pitted dried dates, chopped
- 1 tablespoon chopped walnuts
- 1 medium banana, sliced

Step 1 Place oats, dates and walnuts in a small microwave-safe bowl with 1 cup water; microwave on high for 1 1/2 minutes. Stir oats and cook for 1 more minute, or until smooth.
Step 2 Top hot porridge with sliced banana and serve.
