Full ingredients list:
- 2 cups rolled oats
- 1/4 cup wheatgerm
- 1 cup rye flakes or bran flakes
- 1/3 cup chopped hazelnuts
- 1/3 cup flaked almonds
- 1/3 cup sultanas
- 1/3 cup chopped dried apricots
- 1/3 cup chopped dried figs

Instructions and steps:
Step 1 Preheat oven to 160°C. Line a large baking tray with baking paper. Place oats, wheatgerm and rye flakes (or bran flakes) on prepared tray. Transfer tray to oven; toast mixture for 5 minutes. Toss mixture, then toast for 5 more minutes.
Step 2 Pour mixture into a large bowl; add nuts and dried fruits. Store muesli in an airtight jar.
Pouring 1 cup of skim milk onto muesli adds an extra 375kJ/90cal, 10g protein, 13g carbs, 115mg sodium and 350mg calcium.
