Full ingredients list:
2cm piece ginger, peeled
2 large (or 3 small) carrots, trimmed, roughly chopped
1 orange, peeled, cut into wedges
1/2 lemon, peeled, cut into wedges
1/2 cup (90g) seedless green grapes
Nutritional information (per serve)
Instructions and steps:
Step 1 Juice ginger first, followed by remaining ingredients. Serve juice immediately.
To make an ice-cold juice, freeze some of the fruit, such as the grapes and citrus wedges. Simply place fruit in airtight containers and freeze until ready to juice!
Fibre-rich pulp is lost in the juicer, unless you stir it back into the juice.
Eat your fruit and juice your veg! That way, you won’t sip too much sugar, and you’ll enjoy all the health rewards of getting extra vegies into your day. (To sweeten vegie juice, add half an apple.)
Two more fast vitamin-C fixes!
Green ju-ju juice: Juice a large handful of fresh parsley or coriander leaves; 2 Granny Smith apples, cored and cut into wedges; 1 cup spinach or kale leaves; and 1.2 lemon, peeled and cut into wedges.
Berry blast: Juice 2 cups fresh or frozen berries first (choose blueberries, strawberries or raspberries), followed by 1 apple, cored and cut into wedges, and 1 large carrot, trimmed and chopped.
