Full ingredients list:
- 1 teaspoon oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1 carrot, diced
- 800g beef chuck steak, trimmed, cut into chunks
- 4 cups reduced-salt beef stock
- 1 tablespoon no-added-salt tomato paste
- 1/4 cup red wine
- 2 teaspoons mixed dried herbs
- 4 large potatoes, peeled, chopped
- 1/4 cup reduced-fat sour cream
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- 6 cups steamed broccoli

Instructions and steps:
Step 1 Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Cook onion, garlic and carrot until softened. Add steak. Cook and brown for 5 minutes.
Step 2 Add stock, tomato paste, wine and herbs. Bring to the boil, then reduce heat to very low. Cover and simmer for 2 hours.
Step 3 Meanwhile, steam potatoes. Mash with sour cream and garlic.
Step 4 Preheat oven to 180°C. Spoon meat mixture into a baking dish or divide between 6 ramekins. Top with mash. Bake for 30 minutes, until golden. Serve with steamed broccoli.
