Aussies happy but carrying a little extra weight
Aussies are happier with their lives than the majority of global citizens – but we’d be even happier if we ate a little less and exercised more, a new survey by global research company Ipsos has indicated.
Almost half (44%) of Aussies agreed with the statement ‘my life is fine the way it is, I don’t need to live better’ – significantly higher than the global average of 36%. Overall, Australians rated ‘shedding unwanted kilos’ as the most important factor in improving their personal wellbeing. Australia placed 6th in the global happiness stakes (out of 24).
