Why don't the French get fat?

Because they are better at listening to their bodies' internal clues, according to new research.

Researchers at Cornell University found the French are much better at using internal cues – such as not feeling hungry any more – to stop eating. Americans, on the other hand, are more likely to use external cues – like whether their plate is clean, or the TV show they’re watching is finished. Interestingly, the fatter people in the study were, the more likely they were to use external cues.
