Making babies easier if you're a healthy weight
A longer wait to fall pregnant is likely if couples are both obese or overweight.
Danish researchers have found that couples who are both obese are three times more likely to wait over 12 months before the woman will become pregnant, and if both partners are overweight but not obese they’re 1.4 times more likely to wait over 12 months, when compared to couples in the healthy weight range.
Earlier studies have focussed on just men or women, but of course, it takes two! So if you want to make babies you both have good reason to watch your weight.
