Sweet eaters better at getting their fruit
Having a sweet tooth is not all bad news.
Recent research has shown that people who prefer sweet snacks are more likely to eat fruit than those who prefer a salty snack.
Research also showed sweet fans are more likely to eat more fruit than vegetable lovers, but on the downside, less veges.
If you have a sweet tooth, try eating a portion of fruit instead of that high-energy sweet snack. Your craving will still be satisfied but you’ll also get more fruit and less sugar.
To get enough vegetables, play to your taste preferences choosing sweeter ones like kumara, sweetcorn and sugar snap peas in your everyday eating.
