Reduce your risk of Alzheimer's with juices?

Fruit and vegetable juices may play an important role in delaying the onset of Alzheimer’s, especially among those who are at high risk of the disease.

Researchers in the US studied the diets of over 1,800 people and compared those who consumed fruit or vegetable juices at least three times a week; 1-2 times a week; and less than once a week.

They found that those consuming more juice were at less risk of developing Alzheimer’s than those consuming less juice.

They also noted that there was no link between the development of the disease and dietary intake of the antioxidant vitamins E, C or beta-carotene. They suggest that polyphenols, antioxidants found in fruit and vegetables, possess stronger neuroprotection than the antioxidant vitamins.
