Drink vinegar to lower the glycaemic index?

In the past, vinegar has just been considered for its culinary purposes, but now it seems it is a much more versatile product with some health benefits too.

Research in Sweden has found that the addition of vinegar to a white bread-based meal reduced the rise in body glucose levels following the meal and also increased the feeling of fullness.

These findings could aid dieters keep their weight-loss plan on track by lowering the glycaemic index (GI) of a meal and fending off hunger pangs.

Vinegar is widely used as a drink in Japan, where it is accepted that it helps fight fatigue, improve circulation and generally promotes good health.
