Festive pet treats beware!

Many dog owners love giving their pets treats at Christmas, but beware as certain edible treats will do them no good.

Poultry bones, fatty foods, raisins, grapes and chocolate can be fatal.

If any of these festive treats go missing and you suspect your dog as the culprit, look for these symptoms; vomiting (often blood), excessive thirst, drooling, slow heart rate and convulsions. If your dog is displaying any of these signs, contact your vet. The good news is if detected early enough the symptoms can be treated.
